These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the FixNow mobile application, website, and appliance-repair services.
By creating an account, submitting a booking, accepting a technician assignment, or otherwise using FixNow, you agree to these Terms.
1. FixNow services
FixNow provides a platform and operational system for:
- Appliance-service bookings
- Manual phone bookings
- Technician assignment and dispatch
- Attendance and work tracking
- Estimates and customer approvals
- Service updates
- Billing and payment records
- Ratings, reviews, and support
Availability may vary by location, technician availability, appliance, and service type.
2. User accounts
Users must provide accurate and current information. Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and for activity conducted through their accounts.
Accounts may not be shared, transferred, impersonated, or used for unlawful purposes.
FixNow may suspend or restrict accounts for fraud, misuse, false information, abusive conduct, unauthorized access, policy violations, or risks to customers, technicians, or the business.
3. Customer bookings
Customers must provide accurate contact details, service addresses, appliance information, and problem descriptions.
A booking request does not guarantee an immediate appointment. Assignment and timing depend on technician availability, location, travel conditions, parts, and other operational factors.
Customers must provide reasonable and safe access to the appliance and service location.
4. Estimates and final bills
An estimate is based on the information and inspection available at that time. The final cost may change if the technician discovers additional faults, parts, labour, or safety requirements.
Where applicable, the customer or an authorized administrator must approve the estimate before repair work begins.
Final bills may include labour charges, parts charges, taxes, and other approved charges. Customers should review the final bill before making payment.
5. Manual bookings
Where a customer does not use the app, an authorized FixNow administrator may create and manage a booking on the customer's behalf using information provided by phone, WhatsApp, or another authorized channel.
Customer approvals for estimates, changes, completion, or billing may be recorded by the administrator when the customer gives approval outside the app.
6. Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds
Customers should cancel or reschedule as early as possible.
A visit, inspection, cancellation, or parts charge may apply if:
- A technician has already travelled to or reached the location
- Inspection work has been completed
- Parts were specially ordered
- Work has already begun
- The customer supplied incorrect information or denied access
Any applicable charge should be communicated before confirmation where reasonably possible.
Refund eligibility depends on the payment status, work completed, parts purchased, and circumstances of the booking. Approved refunds will be processed through an appropriate payment method within a reasonable period.
7. Parts, warranties, and service outcomes
Part availability, brand, price, and warranty depend on the relevant supplier or manufacturer.
Any service warranty applies only when expressly recorded on the FixNow bill or another written communication. Warranty may not cover:
- Unrelated or newly developed faults
- Misuse, accidental damage, voltage fluctuation, water damage, pests, or external causes
- Work altered by another person after FixNow service
- Customer-supplied parts
- Manufacturer exclusions
- Normal wear and tear
FixNow cannot guarantee that every appliance can be repaired.
8. Technician obligations
Technicians must:
- Use their own authorized account
- Provide accurate attendance and location information
- Follow assigned booking procedures
- Obtain required approvals before work
- Record estimates, parts, labour, and final bills accurately
- Treat customers and property respectfully
- Follow safety and professional standards
- Avoid false attendance, location manipulation, impersonation, and unauthorized billing
Violation may result in assignment removal, account suspension, internal investigation, recovery of losses, or other appropriate action.
9. Technician location tracking
Technician location tracking is used for attendance, dispatch, live job monitoring, route history, arrival information, safety, and fraud prevention.
With technician permission, tracking may continue throughout the active workday, including when the app is minimized, closed, or not actively in use.
Technicians must not attempt to disable, falsify, spoof, or manipulate location information while marked present, live, on duty, travelling, or handling an active assignment.
Location permission can be controlled through device settings. However, disabling required tracking may prevent attendance or job functions and may be handled according to applicable workplace rules.
10. Attendance selfies and face verification
Technicians may be required to provide attendance selfies and a face-reference image. FixNow may compare attendance submissions with the registered reference and provide results to authorized administrators.
Users must not submit another person's image, manipulate images, or attempt to bypass verification.
11. Acceptable use
Users must not:
- Use FixNow for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- Harass or threaten customers, technicians, or staff
- Upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing material
- Interfere with the app, servers, security, or accounts
- Extract data without authorization
- Submit false bookings, reviews, attendance, locations, estimates, or bills
- Reverse-engineer or misuse the platform except where permitted by law
12. Communications
Users agree to receive service-related communications through the app, push notifications, phone, email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
These may include booking updates, technician assignments, estimates, approvals, bills, safety alerts, and support messages.
13. Third-party services
FixNow may rely on third-party services for authentication, databases, storage, notifications, maps, address search, routing, hosting, and communications.
Third-party services may occasionally be unavailable or inaccurate. Their separate terms and privacy policies may also apply.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FixNow is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss caused by:
- Incorrect information supplied by a user
- Events outside reasonable control
- Network, device, mapping, or third-party-service failures
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, parts, or safety conditions
- Unauthorized account use caused by a user's failure to protect credentials
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
15. Privacy
Use of personal information is governed by the FixNow Privacy Policy.
16. Account termination
Users may stop using FixNow at any time and may request account deletion.
FixNow may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, non-payment, misconduct, or violation of these Terms.
17. Changes to these Terms
FixNow may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. Continued use after an update means the user accepts the revised Terms where permitted by law.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, disputes will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in Tamil Nadu, India.
